Mission Statement

About Sheila Walker

I am a Certified Alcohol & Drug Counselor (CADC II) and a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) in the Sacramento, CA area.  I am in private practice and work with people from Sacramento, Placer, El Dorado and Yolo Counties.

I have been a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC II) since 1996.  I began my outpatient private practice in 1999.  My services include substance abuse counseling as well as counseling family members of substance users.  I am also a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) which allows me to provide evaluations for employees in safety sensitive jobs who have violated a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug and alcohol regulation to meet the requirement of 49 CFR Part 40.

I also facilitate formal interventions for those who are concerned about a loved one's substance abuse and want to help them get into treatment.

I am co-author of "How to Help Your Child Become Drug Free, A Guide for Parents of Adolescents and Young Adults with Substance Abuse or Addiction" with David Gust and Jon Daily.  For more information please call me.
